6 to 7 Blue Jays passed through the yard
Other birds the first week of October included:
October 4: Yellow-rumped Warblers (6 to 12 Audubon's), and lots of Sparrows: Savannah, Vesper, White-crowned, Chipping, Brewer's, Clay-colored
October 6: FOS Brown Thrasher
October 8: Lots of the same sparrows above and also including a Field Sparrow

grayish eyering and tail not very red
