...not much during March...and so far April has been slow
10 to 25 American Goldfinches
an occassional American Kestrel
large flocks of Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles, European Starlings, and House Sparrows with a few Brown-headed Cowbirds and Western Meadowlarks in the mix...and of course the resident Pigeons

...feared all were lost after the harsh winter so was excited to see four in the yard...






Eastern Phoebe

...by nightfall the wind was blowing and the temperature dropped and the Eastern Phoebe decided to come into my office to perch on a silk plant...


The Phoebe stayed around until the 13th of April



Present in the yard the last few days, other than the Eastern Phoebe, have included a single Slate-colored Dark-eyed Junco, a single Killdeer, about a dozen American Goldfinches, a couple of Western Meadowlarks, 10 to 300 Red-winged Blackbirds, 10 to 55 Rock Pigeons, an American Kestrel, about 60 House Sparrows, 20 to 30 European Starlings, 30 to 40 Common Grackles, and 2 Great-tailed Grackles
a FOS Yellow-headed Blackbird visited on April 3
